Hello! I’m Christina Nelson, a painter working primarily in oil paint, focusing on scenes of everyday life and the landscape. Now based in Reno, Nevada, I started painting and drawing classes at the Washington Studio School in Washington, DC, in 2019, developing a practice grounded in observation and an interest in memory and place.

Through my still life and interior paintings, I aim to capture the mundane but beautiful moments we often take for granted. My landscape paintings are often based on plein air studies and are inspired by the vast beauty of the Sierra Nevada and the Great Basin.
